Ok, so I was a little upset when I posted the last post... if you couldn't tell. ;)
So, since that post we have fired our realtor, hired a new one, and then went to a 3rd realtor... in the matter of about 2 days! :) We found out a LOT about the house we had been waiting since December 28th about that our first realtor NEVER told us... basically it's moot. We aren't getting the house. The bank ignored us, and the listing realtor did what he could, but the owners don't want to pay anything in, and if we got the house for what we wanted they would have to. So that's that. MOVING ON! Our current realtor took us out on Monday and we found a PERFECT home! I am so ecstatic. I really didn't think I'd find anything that I liked better than the one we were waiting on. It's only been on the market for 5 days, so we are moving quickly to try and get it. It's in Harborside at Lake Carolina. It doesn't have a big yard (which I am SOO happy about, I am NOT a yard person... I don't like to "dig around" in dirt and putz in the grass... not me). BUT, it's close to the Lake Carolina pool, park and large green area w/a gazebo that we can use anytime. It has a detached garage with a large room above it, which I LOVE. It has tons of room, and just what we need. Man, I am beyond excited! :) Here's some pictures:
This is a picture of the detached garage. You get up to the room from inside of the large 2 car garage. :)
Front of the house... I am already envisioning a porch swing and rocking chairs! :)
Back of the house taken by the detached garage. Notice the cute screened in porch! :)
I am hoping we will get into the house by Madilyn's birthday.... yes, I said birthday. Madilyn will be 2 on April 17th! I cannot believe that time has flown by so quickly. We are pregnant with baby Cain #2, due October 24th, so time seems to be just passing in the blink of an eye. This second baby and Madilyn will be almost exactly 2 1/2 years apart. Madilyn is just turning into such a precious little girl. And I do mean "little". She's just so petite. She's only barely 23 lbs. and still in 18 month clothing. She can say 3-4 word sentences, and she talks ALL THE TIME! :) I love it. Sometimes I don't understand what she's saying or asking for, but I ask her to show me and she's pretty good at directing me to what she wants or needs. She's pretty quick too. Since we are currently living with my parents because our house sold quickly and we didn't have one to move into... she finds that if mommy says no, she attempts to ask daddy, Grama and Papa... sometimes repeatedly. The bad thing is when one of the other 3 didn't hear when mommy said "no"... yeah, then she gets her way... oops! :) She likes to "run run like Elmo", and "brush" her hair... she does a lot of things "like Elmo". It's so precious. She's also adding new words to her vocabulary daily. I will look at John and be like, "I know she has never said that word before... when did that happen?". She's been so helpful and getting better at cleaning up when she's done w/toys (with a bit of prompting, and singing the clean up song)... She's fully potty trained, and is very good at telling us when she has to go. We still have diapers on her @ night and nap... she's still so little, I just knew that to expect for more than during the day was a little much. She's doing wonderfully though, I am so proud of her! She is also trying so hard to dress herself, but she definitely has un-dressing herself down pat! We had a houseful of guests this last week... and she decided she had to go potty... so she stood in the middle of the living room, in front of everyone and took off her pants and panties and was walking towards the bathroom(before I realized what was going on... she is quick!)... I was like "Oh Madi, we do that IN the bathroom!... lol! We're working on modesty... definitely not part of her thought process!
She also ADORES her older cousin. He turned 3 on March 4th, and Madilyn just thinks he hung the moon. It's so sweet. She follows him everywhere and giggles at anything he does. She also always asks to hold his hand. He tolerates her pretty well, but sometimes after a long day of an incessant shadow, he gets a bit fed up. One day in particular, he looked at her and said, "Madi, I just need some freakin' space!".... at least he spoke up! It shocked all of us adults so much that we all laughed... but Preston was quite serious, he felt he had had enough of Madilyn trying to sit in his lap and hold his hand! :) They do love each other though, pretty precious!
Well, that's all the time I have for now, I'll start getting better about updating. Here's some latest pictures of my sweet girl:
a quick preview of a picture we got at Portrait Innovations. This is a "phone" picture of the actual print, so not the best quality... but you get the gist of my precious girl! :)

A cute one of Madilyn... ;)
Signing off for now... thanks for reading! :)
